Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication in the B2B Portal

As a security measure, multi-factor authentication (MFA) is mandated for use to ensure access to sensitive/protected data is as secure as possible. This means that in addition to logging in with your username and password, you will also need to authenticate via phone or via the Microsoft Authenticator app to validate your identity.

Setting up multi-factor authentication (MFA)

To set up MFA you will need your own device, as this multi-factor authentication method will be used EVERY TIME you authenticate into the portal. The steps to set up MFA are the following:

  • Access the site
  • Click on Log in button.
  • Sign in using the same email address and password used to set up your account and click Next.
  • If prompted to accept permissions, click Accept.
  • A prompt will appear indicating that you will now setup additional information. Click Next to continue.
  • Next, you’ll set up the MFA process. Through the setup wizard, you’ll be prompted to choose your authentication method. By default, it will try to use the Microsoft Authenticator application.
    • If you would like to choose a phone number as the authentication method to receive a text message or phone call, select the hyperlink at the bottom of the window.
  • Once the Microsoft Authenticator application setup is complete on your mobile device, click Next to continue.
  • Microsoft Authenticator will provide a QR code on your screen to link your account to the authenticator app in your device. Scan the code with your device and click Next.
  • You will be asked to try out the authenticator app by entering a number shown on your screen. Enter the number provided to you into the app to approve, then click Next on your screen.
  •  A confirmation message will appear upon successful setup. Click Done to complete the setup process.
  • If opted for phone confirmation, follow the instructions regarding the phone you want to use. Make sure this phone number belongs to you (personal office line/cell phone).

Now that you are set, please remember that you will be asked to authenticate frequently when you try to access this app/site. If updates are needed to your account, such as name changes within the application, etc., a support ticket will need to be created.
